![]() In this user guide, we provide easy-to-follow instructions on how to interact with the Omega Network Testnet and take advantage of its features. The most active users on the testnet will be rewarded for their contributions. In preparation for the upcoming launch of Omega Mainnet, a testnet has been established to incentivize user participation and ensure a successful mainnet launch. By supplementing and empowering the Ethereum ecosystem, Omega Chain provides a sustainable and scalable solution for decentralized applications. Omega's aim is to enhance the efficiency of the Ethereum ecosystem through Layer 2 technology. ![]() It supports smart contracts and high-performance transactions, with the endogenous token being OMN and adopting the OPoS consensus mechanism. The Omega Chain is a decentralized public blockchain that is highly efficient and energy-saving. With its advanced cryptographic technology, scalable consensus algorithm, and user-friendly design, the Omega Network allows users worldwide to communicate, share information, make payments, and create decentralized applications securely. Today, it has grown into a global platform with over one million users. If the Ethereum logo is showing below your account don’t worry as we’re now connected to the Binance Smart Chain Mainnet. The Omega Network was launched with the goal of making blockchain accessible to everyone through the support of cryptocurrency introduction, mining, and distribution. The units will no longer show ETH but BNB. You’ll notice two things :First the network is automatically set to the smart chain that we’ve just added. ![]() Then once you’ve saved the network head back to the main view by clicking on the x icon. Once you’ve completed that, you can then click on the “ Save” at the bottom of the screen. The Mainnet is the one that you’ll most likely need to add and the Testnet is essentially a test environment for the Binance Chain and is used for app developers to experiment with. There are actually two networks that we can add: the Mainnet or the Testnet. Then select “ Add network” at the top so this is where we can manually add the Binance Smart Chain as unfortunately, it doesn’t come with MetaMask now: Head across to the circle icon in the top right and head down to “ Settings”.įrom here we need to go to “ Networks” on the left-hand side of the screen: Click “ Approve” and then “ Select network” and it will connect your MetaMask wallet to Binance Smart Chain network: How to Add BSC to MetaMask Manually ![]() It will ask for permission to add the BSC network to your wallet. So go to a dApp on Binance Smart Chain like PancakeSwap.Ĭonnect your MetaMask wallet to that dApp: There are two ways to do it: One is automatic and the second is manual. This won’t work with the Binance Smart Chain dApps and you could potentially lose your funds by sending them to addresses that you can’t actually use so we need to connect our MetaMask wallet to the Binance Smart Chain nodes. When you enter MetaMask, the first thing you’ll see is that it’s an Ethereum wallet and it is connected to the Ethereum mainnet. If you have yet to read our primer on setting up MetaMask best to do that first. In this article, we’ll show you how to add BSC network to your MetaMask wallet. ![]()
